Cafeteria Manager needed for the 2018-19 school year. Must be responsible for the leadership and management of the kitchen as related to supervision of employees, care of equipement, food quality, and coordination of the operational aspects of the school Nutrition Program.

Manager is responsible for menu planning and nutrient analysis of menu items, inventory program maintenance and staff training, coordinating special dietary requests, wellness policy updates and provides Nutrition Education as needed.

The Manager ensures that the eating environment in which meals are prepared, served, and stored will promote food safety, sanitation, and a warm, inviting experience for students and staff.

The Manager must maintain standards according to DE State Board of Health and HACCP plan.

Oversee and manage the nutrition inventory system, assuring that all information entered is up to date and accurate.

Responsible for daily student enrollment through the eSchool system, as well as monthly student Direct Certification download through the state IMS system.

Completes the Free/Reduced Meals Verification Report and forwards results to the Department of Education by due date.

Serves as the contact person for all kitchen equipment repairs and submits such requests to the appropriate vendor in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

Must have a BA or BS in food service management or nutrition.

ServSafe certification

Computer experience

2+ years experience in food service management

Cooperative attitude and ability to work well with students, school nutrition personnel, and co-workers.
