1. Applicant must qualify, at time of hire, for State of Delaware Teacher of Students with Autism or Students with Severe Intellectual Disabilities (1573).

2. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college, with a major in special education with a concentration in autism or severe disabilities.

3. Applicant must demonstrate a level of knowledge and/or experience appropriate to the position.

4. Ability to perform the physical demands of the job, including but not limited to, standing, walking, use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, manipulatives, or resources; as well as talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, squat, stoop, kneel, twist, reach above the head, reach to ground level, and reach forward. The employee will frequently bend or twist at the neck and trunk more than the average person while performing the duties of this job.

5. Favorable criminal background and child protection registry check for the candidate offered employment.

6. Tuberculin test.

7. Participation in Direct Deposit.
