1. Prepares, portions and serves food according to established standards which includes standardized recipes.

2. Assistas in accurately maintaining daily records and reports for production, temperatures, and inventory.

3. Practices procedures which assure established safety and sanitation standards are met.

4. Follows through with job requirements in a timely manner with minimal supervision.

5. Incorporates time-saving production techniques, effectively uses government commodities, and merchandises effectively.

6. Participates in implementing cost containment measures while maintaining high quality meals and service.

7. Attends job-related training classes and workshops.

8. Promotes student and staff satisfaction by merchandising and serving meals in an appetizing and attractive manner.

9. Can lift and carry 25 pounds dead weight a minimum of 50 feet.

10. Performs other duties assigned that relate to Child Nutrition Services cook responsibilities.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Works for ten months per terms of master agreement.

Reports To: CNS Manager

A person may not be employed by a public school employer in any position requiring licensure and certification if the person does not meet licensure and certification requirements established under Chapter 12 of [Title 14 of the Delaware Code]..., except pursuant to a license extension and/or emergency certificate issued pursuant to Chapter 12. See 14 Del. C.§ 1313.
