LOCATION: District Office - ELL Office

SUMMARY: Provide secretarial/clerical support with a major emphasis on attendance, accounting, bookkeeping, record-keeping, and reporting functions in the office. Develop office procedures to facilitate assigned duties in compliance with school district and State of Delaware polices and regulations. Perform duties with minimal supervision and assume responsibility for accuracy of data prepared. Provide assistance to other support staff in aspects relating to accounting/reporting or other numerical functions and any other duties as assigned.

**Must be proficient in reading, writing, and speaking in Spanish

  1. Compile and prepare budget information, purchase orders, payment vouchers, requisition forms, etc.
  2. Respond to requests for information/assistance exercising discretion and good judgment.
  3. Operate computers, adding machine and various office machines.
  4. Determine priorities and coordinate workload to meet schedules/deadlines.
  5. Other related secretarial/clerical duties as assigned.
  6. Possess a working knowledge of PHRST, FSF, and DSC.
  7. Compile and type financial/statistical reports, forms lists, utilizing data processing and printouts and other source documents.
  8. Calculate and submit various reports
  9. Top quality customer service required.
  10. Responsible for making sure all invoices in a timely manner.
  11. Other related secretarial/clerical duties as assigned.

  1. High school diploma or GED.
  2. Three years of successful secretarial/clerical work experience with aspects of accounting, bookkeeping, or statistical duties.
  3. One year business school training or one year additional office experience with concentration on numerical functions.
  4. Ability to work with accuracy and perform various mathematical functions with speed and accuracy.
  5. Computer training and experience required. Knowledge of Excel and Word is mandatory.
  6. Comprehensive knowledge of State accounting procedures.
  7. Ability to perform numerical and related aspects of position.
  8. Ability to coordinate workload to meet schedules/deadlines.
  9. Ability to exercise good judgment, discretion and confidentiality.
  10. Ability to work cooperatively with others.
  11. Good attendance record.
  12. Must be proficient in reading, writing, and speaking in Spanish
  13. Review and revise all documents that are submitted for translation
  14. Schedule all interpreter requests and maintain an up-to-date calendar
  15. Assist District Office personnel with Spanish speaking families either in person or over the telephone

Required Education Level:
