QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Minimum of A.A. degree in accounting or comparable experience in accounts payable.
2. Minimum of three years in a professional environment.
3. Experience in online budget accounting and purchasing is preferred.
4. Knowledge of Federal and State Accounting systems, preferred.
5. Demonstrate proficient skills and experience with Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, Access, E-school, and other programs as needed.
6. Demonstrate the ability to work as a team player with co-workers and colleagues while maintaining positive working relationships.
7. Able to work independently and motivated to learn new assignments. Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Applicant must demonstrate a level of knowledge and/or experience appropriate to the position.
9. Favorable criminal background and child protection registry check for the candidate offered employment.
10. Tuberculin test.
11. Participation in Direct Deposit

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assists the Director of Transportation and Student Services.
2. Reviews, processes and enters P.O.'s and P.V.'s, etc. into the First State Financial
System.
3. Maintains vendor files including vendor numbers and responds to vendor inquiries
regarding payment.
4. Maintains files of paid and unpaid invoices, assists bus contractors with questions
about routes.
5. Implement Trip Spark; monitors bus videos; assigning students to buses, and revising
bus routes.
6. Schedule use of district and state pool fleet vehicles; maintain current users of fleet
vehicles.
7. Assist with student uniform distribution.
8. Maintain database for Attendance letters; processes certified letters for attendance
Infractions and Truancy Court.
9. Maintain ELL database and ACCESS testing database.
10. Assist with McKinney Vento/Foster Care record keeping and support.
11. Provide assistance to school based nurses and wellness program.
12. Answers phone and assists with monitoring the front door admission of visitors.
13. Support student enrollment process.
14. Other duties as assigned.

Salary Range: From/To: 1. 12 month position 2. Benefits in accordance with current Laurel Board policy 3. Salary based on the Financial Secretary classification on the state and local salary scale, experience and education
