LOCATION: Facilities and Maintenance

REPORTS TO: Supervisor of Maintenance

PRIMIARY FUNCTION: To provide maintenance repairs and preventative maintenance assignments to assigned skills.

  1. Responsible for maintenance and carrying out preventative maintenance measures related to their demonstrated craft skill.
  2. Handles maintenance requests as assigned by the Supervisor of Maintenance or designee and paperwork involved in completion of assignment.
  3. Assists Maintenance A personnel when requested.
  4. Operates equipment as required including Fuel Delivery Truck
  5. Other related duties as assigned including, but not limited to painters, Groundskeeper, Minor Parking Lot Repair.

  1. Must have a working knowledge of Hardware application.
  2. Ability to demonstrate basic working knowledge of HVAC/Plumbing.
  3. Must have demonstrated ability of operating Backhoe/Genie Lift/Bucket Truck/Termite Excavator
  4. Ability to follow written, oral instruction and to maintain records and reports.
  5. Must obtain CDL "Class B" Commercial Driver's License with Hazmat Endorsement.
  6. Must be able to obtain a D.O.T. medical physical for a CDL "Class" B Commercial and Hazmat Endorsement
  7. Physical ability to perform duties such as but no limited to lifting, bending, reaching overhead, standing for extended periods of time, etc.
  8. May be required to work extended hours or holidays, as operations require.
  9. Five years experience as Fireman Custodian or equivalent preferred.
  10. Acceptable scoring on the general maintenance test.

EMPLOYMENT: 12 months

Start Date: ASAP

EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with Evaluation Procedure of the District.
