Maintenance - HVAC
Location: Milford School District
Reports To: Supervisor of Buildings & Grounds
Starting Date: As soon as mutually agreeable
- Type I and Type II CFC certification required, Universal CFC certification preferred
- Possess a current Class D Delaware driver's license required
- Possess a Delaware Master HVACR or Master HVACR Restricted license or equivalent from another state as determined by the Delaware State Board of Plumbing, Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration Examiners
- Six months (6) experience working with HVAC repair and installation preferred
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics preferred
- Ability to assist with small maintenance projects such as painting preferred
- Must have a good basic knowledge of Geothermal/HVAC mechanics, including oil burners, motors, air handling and heating units, temperature controllers, programmers, emergency generators, auto, etc.
- Must be able to respond to requests in a prompt and accurate manner, with attention to detail
- Possess ability to make minor building repairs
- Ability to troubleshoot problems and work independently without close supervision
- Oversee HVAC maintenance of several district buildings including preventative maintenance, troubleshooting problems, upkeep, and repair
- Participate as part of a team of maintenance personnel to complete district construction related projects and respond to emergency situations such as snow removal, plumbing repair, etc…
- Remain on-call at all times to respond to needs within the district
- Performs other duties as assigned including but not limited to: carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, electronic heating, ventilation, air cooling, boiler service, welding, etc…
Terms of Employment: Twelve-month employee
Salary and Benefits: Salary range and benefits are commensurate with qualifications and experience in accordance with Board of Education Policy.
Evaluation: Performance will be evaluated annually in accordance with the Board's policy on evaluation of professional personnel.
