The Capital School District is seeking Part Time/Casual/Seasonal Entry Level Field Technicians, whose primary focus will be to assist in the repair, configuration, maintenance, and deployment of computers and other technology. Entry-Level Technicians are a primary point of contact for routine helpdesk tickets and assist in the troubleshooting/resolving of those tickets. A successful candidate will possess the following experience and skills:
  • Experience with installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of software and hardware
  • Familiarity with performing routine system installations, setups, maintenance, and configurations
  • Experience with current Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft Office, and other Microsoft products
  • Ability to perform routine system maintenance (upgrades, software/hardware updates, etc.)
  • Assist staff with basic technology use and deployment of new equipment
  • Exposure to SMART Boards, Projectors, Audio Visual Distribution Systems, Mobile Devices, Computer Imaging and other technology systems desired
  • Related classwork or certifications will be taken into consideration
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills required
  • Self-motivated, demonstrates ability and desire to learn new skills, and excels under pressure
  • Works a flexible schedule, including evenings or weekends as needed
  • Other duties as determined by District and Departmental needs

  • Additional training or coursework related to technology
  • Experience in working in an educationally-related organization desired
  • Effective oral and written communication skills

Standard Requirements:
  • Favorable Criminal Background Check for the candidate who is offered employment.
  • Tuberculin test & Physical.
  • Mandatory Direct Deposit of Paycheck.
  • GED or High School Diploma
  • Additional training or coursework related to technology

Salary: $15.00 per hour, up to 29 hours per week based on district needs
